How to extend beam in STAAD.Pro?

In previous article we saw how to extend beam in ETABS, now let us see how to extend beam in STAAD. Following are the steps to do the same.

1. Select the beam line which you want to extend.
2. Go to geometry → Stretch selected member command.

Or select the button shown in the red box which is the shortcut for stretch member command. 

3. Tick on “To an existing member” and select the cursor shown against it.

4. Select the member up to which you want to extend the line.

5. Your beam line is extended to the existing member.

6. If you want to extend up to an existing node, tick on “To an existing node” and select the node to which you want the beam to be extended.

7. Enjoy STAAD.
